My dear friend Susan sent me this OPED from the WashingtonPost called "One Gender's Crash" by Deborah Spar that appeared in The Washington Post. I could not agree more! I also love any article that begins with .... by the way... I like men! Seems to be I have started a few like that myself. I will say it again, again, again... It is time to Invest in Women and take every opportunity to make GOOD Women Leaders and Leadership visible.
I have spent hours and hours the past few days reading, reading, reading..... putting together ideas and thoughts for some speeches I will be doing over the next couple of weeks and I am diiscovering some AMAZING sources of information. I will be doing another newsletter with a lot of them in the next month or so so sign up. Until then check out the following:
- Naked Capitalism - It delivers some of the best financial and economic pieces to your inbox. Sign up!
- BaselineScenerio - This Site contains a WEALTH of information including a primer on all issues related to the financial crisis. I big WOW. Great fundamental reading for anyone who wants to build their financial literacy. GREAT link to section as well.
- EconBrowser - Another great site that summarizes many leading economists views on what is going on in the world.

The USA has already reverted to a matriarchy. Study how matriarchies work and what the men do all day under them. Your wishes may change. How about we get rid of this evil, hateful ideology known as Feminism that's brainwashed American Women and ruined much of American Society. Are you not interested in "reading, reading, reading" up on those studies? And what exactly has happened to USA Govt. spending since giving women the right to vote? Hint: it hasn't decreased. More women isn't the answer. Can't you see how utterly Feminized and weak the nation is? Things will improve if you GET OUT OF THE WAY. Something women from previous generations knew and respected.
Anonymous, please study your facts and you will see that the US is far from matriarchal. Your argument -- and hiding behind "anonymous" -- is both unoriginal and lame.
Women in technology still face significant hurdles. The three-young-guys in a garage is still the mental model for what a technology startup should look like. But progress is being made.

A good resource for women in leadership and how they increase profitability:

It's not an argument about feminism versus patriarchy.
IT'S ABOUT US EACH REALIZING OUR POTENTIAL + DYNAMISM and HAVING THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH OTHERS WHO ARE AS SMART, CAPABLE AND COLLABORATIVE AS US WITH WHOM WE CAN LEARN, DEVELOP AND ADVANCE WHAT WE'RE INVESTING IN: COMPANIES / COMMUNITIES / MANKIND.

Well, I hope progress is being made since I'm developing this:
www.mediasensors.com
to replace 5-star rating systems and in due course I'll be approaching VCs and maybe even Google.
