"Goldman Bias Suit Offers Wall Street an Opening" - Jacki Zehner

I have much to say on this topic. So much. Bloomberg asked me to write something for them and here it is. I have received many incredible emails in response to it, from men in particular. Many men have shared with me their frustrations in trying to hire, retain and promote women. Further they point to the institutional challenges that exist and must be addressed if we are to move forward. I have written many times in this space how I think diversity efforts have largely failed, and I will write more on that topic.

Thanks to Bloomberg for inviting me to write this piece and to my very special, personal editor who challenged me to think about my intent in writing it.

Shame on you! You have chosen to examine your own experience over those who are directly involved in this case. If both were offered you would have some credibility on this issue. Also, their experience may take place in a different space at a different time. Your opinion is valuable , but only when offered in context. You are MUCH brighter than this op Ed gives you credit for. You have not done women a disservice but humankind in general!

Yves Smith (Susan Webber), another GS alum, posted commentary on the subject, on her blog Naked Capitalism.

On of the former GS employees, "Chen-Oster, says the WSJ, claims in the suit that a male colleague groped her after an office party at a topless bar in 1997. Reporting the harassment, she says, hurt her status at the company."

And you think it's wrong that she is trying to assert her rights through legal action to make Goldman Sachs accountable? I simply cannot believe that you consider yourself a champion of women's rights.

Methinks you've been brainwashed by Goldman Sachs.
